Type A Yoga moving to Martinez 2014!

The new Type A Yoga: 815 Marina Vista Ave, Martinez

Type A Yoga is excited to announce our move to Martinez! We will be occupying the first floor of the historic Prosser building at Ferry and Marina Vista. We are excited to be in a location and building with enough character to match our studio culture! I am especially looking forward to the natural light and air the new building will add to our classes, as well as the close proximity to the marina, Martinez's Waterfront Park, and the Regional Parks shoreline area.

Type A Yoga leaving Pleasant Hill in 2014

Over the last year, we have had a number of building issues that impacted our class schedule on multiple occasions and as a result, I have been looking for a new location to alleviate these issues. We finally found a new location in downtown Martinez, and our intention is to be in both locations in January and to be fully in the new location in February.

We realize this move will not be convenient for many of our clients. We know some of you will prefer to stay in Pleasant Hill and I would rather you maintain a consistent practice and visit us than have this disrupt your regimen. Our studio has made arrangements with another local studio, Indigo Yoga and Pilates, to offer our multi-class passholders discounts in January, including a first class free and 20% off their packages. We will continue to honor any remaining classes on the multi-class passes at our new location.

We also realize that some members of our community will follow us wherever we go. In order to reward our students who have been committed and active members of our community, we are altering our pricing structure effective January 2014 to support a community support membership option...

A Time for Yoga 2013: Same Meditation, New Delivery

As part of our celebration of National Yoga Month, in conjunction with yogamonth.org, we hold a free community event simultaneously with other participating studios around the country. This practice involves an active asana class, followed by a meditation somehow connected to peace.

We received such positive feedback regarding our meditation last year that we have decided to release it for those of you who wanted to hear it more than once a year or were unable to join us this year.
